Boys will be boys

I'd like to dedicate this blog to the hardworking guys in my office who with their infinite wisdom on relationships and though-out, humorous contributions to our daily lives have made my transition from immature and inappropriate college kid to professional and grown-up member of the workforce a lot less scary than I thought it would be. Perhaps because for the most part, guys don't really exit the college kid stage of life until their mid-70's if ever. Ya gotta love 'em.

Here's a website you may have never heard of: www.bedstu.com
They offer a wide selection of snazzy men's shoes from beachy to fancy-pants.

Pennyworth, $145

Frank, $79.00
Also, you may be unaware that Forever21 has a men's section online. It's great for inexpensive basics; however, I'm absolutely convinced that there are some recycled girl's clothes in the mix there, so the rule for that is BASICS ONLY.  Okay, this super comfy-looking tee may be the one manly item on the entire website. But hey, look for yourselves.  www.forever21.com

Slub Knit V-Neck, $9.90
My best friend and I found some pretty good deals at PacSun for her husband last week. They have good stuff if you're in to the surfer/skater style. Or if you need something dressy, but not too dressy: www.pacsun.com

Short-sleeve woven, $24.49
Short-sleeve woven, $24.49

So yep, there ya go. :)

It's Summertime!!

Summer is my favorite time to shop because EVERYTHING is on sale!! And I do love a good sale. Also, here is a Thrift Shop Groupon for those of you who live in the Springfield area. Red Racks is one of the best places to thrift, because it's sooooo big. It's where I've found most of my vintage favorites. Anywho, here are my finds from this last week. Happy shopping!

This is the funnest scent, I feel so Parisian when I burn it.

Bath and Body Works, 3-wick Candle
Paris Amour, $11.00

Buy It!!

I always buy my swim suits from the VS semiannual sale. This style is $25 for top and bottom. But you have to find one fast, because they run out insanely quick.

Victoria's Secret, Swimwear
Push-up Bandeaux and Ruched Low-rise Hipkini
$12.99 and $9.99

Buy It!!

I typically have an unspoken rule about shopping at Aeropostale, which is DON'T unless you are under the age of 18; however, I went in this past week and found these amazing floral skinny's for $15.00. My best friend and I each bought a pair, accidentally wore them on the same day, and got a ton of compliments. Extra perk: they don't say Aeropostale on them anywhere, so the secret's safe with me.

Aeropostale, Ashley Ultra Skinny Jean
Photoreal floral jean, $14.99

Home is where the heart is.

This isn't about shopping, but I got to go home for NINE days. I haven't been home for that long in a while. It was amaaaaazing. We mostly just chilled and watched three entire seasons of Big Bang Theory. My dad built a table for my mom for her birthday, and we moved it into our new dining room. I'm so jealous of it; it is the prettiest table I've ever seen in my life! And Kaylor and I played dress up and took pictures like the good old days (except our clothes are way chicer now) :) Oh, and of course I got some good snuggling time with Arnold, the faithful watch dog.
